Education

Access our core coaching training progression that provides a much deeper and more nuanced understanding and set of skills than is commonly found in other coach training programmes.

Access supplemental coach training opportunities (building upon the core coaching principles) that expand the range of people you can competently serve.

Rather than take a recertification course every two years, participate regularly in monthly webinars, coach training sessions, and watch past recordings to keep your knowledge and skills developing and evolving as SwimMastery does.

You receive a 'certificate of completion' after successfully completing the Fundamental Skills Coach Training course. We do not to call what we give a 'certification' because we don't intend to require or police how our coach members do their teaching and we can't assure the public what coaches are doing. Rather, our mastery-oriented membership has participated in the same training and we we have agreed to uphold our shared values and principles. We trust one another's professionalism to come together regularly to learn and to apply those principles, knowledge and skills in one’s private practice in a way you believe is best for your students in your context - something we cannot judge for you.

You may pursue subsequent core and supplemental training courses with SwimMastery.

You can access our live monthly coach education webinars and past recordings, covering swimming topics and on other physical and mental modalities applicable to swimming (such as psychology, breathing, body work, strength and conditioning, etc.).

Swim School Instructor Fundamentals> Advanced

An Affiliate Membership is required to apply for either the Fundamental Skills Coach Training course or the Swim School Instructor Training course.

Upon completion of either course, you are welcome to, but not required to subscribe as a member. You are welcome to take your new knowledge and skills and use those without further obligation. Access to our coach community beyond Affiliate level and all other coach trainings require an active subscription coach or instructor membership to participate.

Fundamental Skills Coach Training puts you on track for the Advanced Skills Coach Training and the Performance Skills Coach Training. Swim School Instructor Fundaments puts you on track for the Advanced training courses for Swim School Instructor. These are separate tracks. One desiring both must complete both tracks separately.
